Anna graduated with a first class degree from the University of Birmingham in 2006, following a previous degree in Biology at the University of Bristol. She worked for 7 ½ years at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, gaining promotion in 2006 to specialise as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
For the last 2 years she worked as a sports physiotherapist at Pure Sports Medicine, Kensington. Here clients ranged from Olympic athletes and amateur ‘weekend warriors’ to the retired and elderly with the more common osteoarthritis conditions of the spine.
She values a holistic approach using a diverse range of treatment options including: manual and soft tissue techniques, taping; functional and sport specific exercise rehabilitation and Pilates. Techniques are carefully chosen with the clients to ensure they meet their individual needs. Anna is experienced in orthopaedics from working with elective and trauma patients on the wards, outpatients, fracture clinic and rehabilitation classes including advanced knee and shoulder classes, and dynamic control classes. Anna enjoys working with women with pregnancy related pain after gaining experience working on ante and post natal wards and clinics.
Anna is a keen sportswoman herself. In recent years she has competed in triathlons and understands what it is like to be injured. She enjoys motivating and encouraging her clients to achieve their goals, whether it means being able to walk to the local shop, completing their first 5km to returning to high level competition or professional sports. Anna was brought up on a dairy farm in Leicestershire and has competed on horses since a young age. She is thoroughly enjoying establishing herself back into a rural life in Norfolk.
